Meet: Details of the meeting point will be sent to all those who register.

Hike description: head up towards the contour path and left towards Kirstenbosch. After 45 mins, climb up Newlands Ravine. At the top of Newlands Ravine head down towards the saddle below Devil's Peak. Stop at Breakfast Rock for a quick snack and drink. Descend via the zig-zag path to lower contour path and past Oppels Kop... and down to the Tafelberg Road.

If the party is still alive, we can jog down the gravel road past the Kings Blockhouse and descend to Plum Pudding Hill back to Rhodes Memorial.

Post-hike reward: We could always stop at the restaurant at Rhodes Memorial for a quick snack or lunch... please bring along some cash!

Hikers must bring: I suggest you bring along trail running shoes rather than heavy climbing boots.

• A water bottle
• Windbreaker or waterproof jacket
• A hat

Hike duration: The actual hike/run should average between 3 and 4 hours, including stops. We can run/walk depending on the group's capabilities.
