The School of Practical Philosophy started in Cape Town on 17 September 1972. So this year is our 40th Anniversary  and we would like you to join us in celebrating that event on Saturday 29 September. In the morning there will be a train trip from Cape Town Station to Simon's Town. We will have our own coach with security and a 'Metro-Ambassador' to look after us.
We will provide some refreshments on the coach (tea/coffee/cooldrinks).

On arrival at ST you will be free to spend your time in groups or families doing whatever takes your fancy at your own expense (which may include lunch). We will have a kombi available to transport some of the older members who might find the walk difficult.

You will need to be back at ST station by 13h55 in order to catch the train back to CT.

The fee for the event is R30 per head payable via EFT beforehand (bank details are here). To confirm your registration, please email proof of payment to spp.ctn@telkomsa.net . If an EFT is difficult for you, the fee may also be paid in cash during one of your philosophy evenings. Email your receipt number to the above address to confirm your booking.

Please confirm your registration by Friday 21September. Metrorail require us to pay and commit by then (and we need a minimum group of 30).
