24 September The Hike is on see you there

Constantia Nek to Houtbay – leaders Aussie (medium paced grouped) and Margaret (faster paced group)

To start hiking at 7.30 am we will all meet at East Fort Parking at 7.00 am,(Houtbay) jump into as few cars as possible and drive to Constantia Nek. From there we will walk up Vlakkenberg steps to the tar road and slip a right past the manganese mines and descend into Houtbay via the old fort back to the cars.

Duration: 3 hours faster paced group

Duration: 4 hours medium paced group including a tea break

Difficulty: Stairs at start 6/10

What to bring: water, snacks, sunblock, hat and good humor
