This is a classic route but not to be attempted if you are not in reasonable condition! The next day you will become aware of all sorts of muscles you had forgotten you had!

Starting at Kirstenbosch, we take the classic Smuts Track up to the top of Skeleton Gorge. Then there is a spectacular traverse across to the top of Nursery Ravine. The views over the Southern Suburbs and the Flats all the way to False Bay are truly panoramic. 

Nursery is a quick, safe route back down to Kirstenbosch. Some of you may decide to have tea/lunch there.

Duration: 4 - 5 hours

Rating: 7/10 strenuous
