Meet: Details of the meeting point will be sent to all those who register.

Directions: Travelling south, take the Constantia exit from the M3, turn left under the motorway onto Constantia Main Road, and turn right at the first traffic light into Alphen Road. After about 100m look for parking on the left side of the road.

Hike description: This flat to gently-upward trail follows the course of the Diep River and crosses Brommersvlei, Bell Ombre, Monterey and Bellevue roads before meeting Southern Cross Drive, where we will turn around and retrace our steps. Well behaved dogs on a leash are welcome. There is one drinking fountain on the route.

The route, which is approximately 7.4km, will take 2 hours (including rests) to complete.

Hikers must bring:

• Water and a small snack
• Comfortable walking shoes
• A rain jacket
